Counseling Services



At Abria Recovery, we understand the path to recovery from substance use will look different for each individual. Counseling is a fundamental component to creating a long-lasting success in overcoming addiction. Each one of our counselors will meet clients where they are in their journey and empower them to take their life back. Counselors will collaborate with clients to create short-term and long-term goals as part of an individualized treatment plan.

Counselors will evaluate an individuals needs and connect them to appropriate resources and services to ensure they have every opportunity for success. Each individual will have the opportunity to recognize triggers, develop coping skills and improve their overall mental health. 

This service is available as a part of an existing group program or as a stand-alone service.

We believe that those struggling with addiction should not have to find recovery on their own. We are committed to offering a safe, healing and supportive environment to raise the standards of addiction care. We plan to help those who struggle with addiction to live healthy, joyful lives in recovery.

Outpatient Counseling Services include: 

Individual and Group Counseling:

Individual and group counseling is to help the client identify and address needs related to substance use and develop strategies to avoid harmful substance use after discharge and to help the client obtain the services necessary to establish a lifestyle free of the harmful effects of substance use disorder.

Couples/Relationship Counseling:

Couples and relationship counseling is provided by a qualified professional to help individuals identify the impact of co-occurring disorders on others. Counseling focuses on helping the individual and concerned persons in their support structure better understand co-occurring disorders in addition to identifying and changing behaviors that impact their relationships.

Family Counseling:

Family counseling aims to help family members understand how addiction affects them and those around them. Education is one of the most important goals of family counseling. A qualified professional will help overcome obstacles to living a life in recovery, improving communication and restoring appropriate family roles. Creating a safe and understanding home environment with healthy communication is one of the primary objectives of family counseling.
